This week we again welcome 2 guests to the show: Jonathon Andell & John Thacker!
Jonathon is an accomplished leader, a hands-on achiever, and an exceptional instructor, coach, and mentor in Continuous Improvement. Jonathon holds a BS in Metallurgical Engineering from Purdue and an MS in Metallurgy from Penn State.
John is a Continuous improvement specialist, with an emphasis on employee engagement, culture building, and cross-functional team building and collaboration. John holds a BA in Liberal Arts and Sciences and an MBA from the University of Louisville.
In this episode, we talk about their personal Lean journeys which I found really interesting since they’re so different from each other. We talked about personal bias, and what it takes to overcome it in order to practice Respect for People.
We also talked about the Toyota Guiding Philosophy and how it compares/contrasts to Taylorism.
