This week welcome Dan Horwitz to the show!
Dan is a former collegiate basketball player, coach, author, and speaker. While playing college basketball, he was the recipient of the scholar athlete award in Athletics, 2-year team captain and honored with the sportsmanship award for 3 years. After college he went on to help coach at Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, NY, which is where he developed his appreciation for team building, and leveraged his B.S. in Sport Management and a minor in psychology. Dan believes in a coaching style that emphasizes building relationships, empowering others and encouraging positivity, so much so that he went on to write a book about it entitled “HELP THEM UP: 14 PRINCIPLES TO EDUCATE ENERGIZE AND EMPOWER YOUR TEAM TO BUILD A CHAMPIONSHIP BASKETBALL CULTURE”. It’s a great read, especially for summer, so give it a look!
As always – I hope you enjoy it, and I hope you get something from it! Make it a great week!
